There are many reasons why people visit Israel. The most obvious reason is because they are pilgrims of one of the three Abrahamic religions. Israel is a country in which the holiest places for the religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam are located. Jews, Christians, and Muslims from around the world go to its acknowledged capital, Jerusalem, to visit such places as the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall, a remnant of Herod’s great temple that is the holiest place in Judaism; the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the holiest place for Christians where Jesus is believed to be entombed after His crucifixion; and the Dome of the Rock, the second holiest place for Muslims after Mecca where Prophet Muhammad was believed to stop by before ascending to the heaven. Another reason why people visit Israel is because they want to enjoy attractive Israel tours and vacation. There are numerous places in Israel that are considered worth-visiting recreational destinations. Among them are the Dead Sea region, the Mediterranean coast, and Elat.
If you visit Israel, the most important accommodation that you have to procure is a lodging where you will stay during your visit. There are actually many places in Israel that you can choose to be your temporary staying place. You only have to decide in which part of Israel where you want to stay, how luxurious are the amenities that you want to get, and how much money that you have prepared to afford your lodging accommodation.
If you want to stay near the pilgrimage sites, you certainly have to choose a hotel in Jerusalem. There are a lot of Israel hotels that you can find in that city, but if you want to stay in a cheap hotel, you should consider staying in the Old City or in the eastern part of Jerusalem.
